FLAVORED MEDICATIONS
     Trying to make an animal swallow a tablet is not always easy. We can prepare easy-to-give flavored dosage forms that animals love! Various flavors are available such as exotic fruit, carrot, tuna, chicken and beef.

MEDICINE IDEAL SIZE AND STRENGTH
     Commercial animal medications may be available in only one size. The tablet may be too large for a dog and an excessive number of tablets may need to be given to a horse. We have the ability to compound dosage forms that are just the right size and strength for any animal.

SPECIALIZED DOSAGE FORMS
     We can compound numerous dosage forms that are just right for your best friend - from oral liquids to rectal suppositories, from ear drops to dusting powders. Often, specialized animal ophthalmics are not commercially available. We are able to  compound dosage forms to contain the exact concentrations needed for infections, dry eyes or allergies.

UNATTAINABLE MEDICINES
     Some medicines are not produced in the form prescribed by veterinarians simply because of a low demand. However, there is still the occasional need. These medicines can still be compounded from liquids and powders to prepare dosage forms that are unique.

SOME EXAMPLES OF COMPOUNDS
     Anti-microbial; anti-nausea; ophthalmic preparations. These are able to be compounded in low doses and gradual release forms. Preparation of these specialized products require chemicals and equipment which are not available in most pharmacies. Our pharmacists have received additional training in compounding techniques and our pharmacy features a compounding laboratory that contains precision equipment.

PRESCRIPTION ORDERING AND DELIVERY
     Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for veterinarians to order and animal owners to receive a custom compounded prescription. Veterinarians may call toll-free or fax a copy of the written prescription. Please include the owner's phone number so we may contact them and arrange for delivery and payment. Prescriptions are usually prepared and shipped within 24 hours after receiving them. Standard delivery is UPS Ground/Third Day Air. For the local area, we use our delivery service.
