Over 20 million American women have osteoporosis, but only 4 million know it.  Fortunately, a simple test will tell you whether you are at risk.  If you are a woman over 35, still menstruating, going through menopause or are postmenopausal, a bone density test is essential to determine your risk & may be one of the most important procedures you should have. Osteoporosis is both preventable & treatable.

The Osteoporosis Program allows California Pharmacy to provide you with a bone density screening test using the latest Dual X-Ray Absorptiometry. The screening is performed using the Norland pDexa  device to test the bone mineral density of the forearm area. The test takes less than 5 minutes and the results are done by a state licensed Certified Radiology Technician under the supervision of our physician. 

Your low cost as a patient is only $49 (sorry, insurance is not accepted) & does not require you to obtain a physician order. The results are available immediately after the screening.  Copies of the results are given to both you and your physician with follow-up recommendations from our medical director.
