SYLVIA MOORE, Pharm. D.
Compounding Pharmacist
Sylvia was born in Orange, CA.
She graduated from USC College of Pharmacy in 1961.
Sylvia started working at Monte’s pharmacy in Santa Ana at age 14,
and continued part-time until graduation and receipt of her Pharmacist
license. She then worked as staff pharmacists at
McCalla Pharmacy in Laguna Beach from 1962 to 1964.
When Monte’s opened their second store, Sylvia returned to manage
Monte’s Pan American Pharmacy in Santa Ana.
In 1975, Sylvia opened her own store,
Mariners Pharmacy, in Newport Beach. She eventually
sold the pharmacy in 1994. She started working
full-time at Costa Mesa Compounding Center in 1997.
Sylvia has two grown children, Melanie and Rob, and a granddaughter,
Kayla.
Sylvia has been active in the
Orange County Pharmacists Association, holding almost all elected
offices, including president and social chairman.
She has also held positions on committees for the California Pharmacists
Associations, and is a member of the American Pharmacists Association.
She is currently also a member of QSAD USC Pharmacy support
group, Pharmacy Alumni Association and USC Alumni Association.
